Ricky Rodriguez
President
Our fearless leader. As a 22 year-old Writing & Comm major from Tifton, Ricky serves as our President here at the Horseman Press. As President, Ricky oversees the day-to-day operations of the press. Maintains a good working relationship with all staff members and a working knowledge of the production process throughout the semester. Ricky also helps facilitate discussion between teams and is an integral part of publishing Pegasus and Jerry.
Michael DuVall
Editor-in-Chief
Michael DuVall is a Tifton native majoring in Writing & Comm, who serves as our super fly Editor in Chief. As Editor-in-Chief, Michael oversees the editorial process like the sunflowers in this picture. He ensures high quality throughout the process, from the selection of submissions to final copyediting. His duties also include working with the editorial team to develop a consistent vision for the project, from beginning to end and communicating directly with authors as needed.
Tristin "Buck" Clements
Layout Editor
As a 23 year-old Tifton native majoring in Writing and Comm, Tristin “Buck” Clements serves as our highly skilled Layout Editor. As Layout Editor, Buck oversees the production process from the end of editing until the beginning of printing and distribution. Ensures the transformation of the manuscript into a well designed and laid out .pdf for production. He also is responsible for timely review of final proofs.
Taylor Horton
Submissions Manager
Taylor Horton is our fabulous 22-year old Tifton native majoring in Writing & Comm and serves as our Submissions Manager. As Submissions Manager, Taylor keeps track of submissions through our Submittable site, oversees the development of a call for submissions. She also works to actively promote the press as an outlet for local authors/artists. Overall, Taylor is responsible for making sure the press receives a number of high quality submissions.
Clint Johnson
Publicity Director
As Tifton’s Dr. Dre, Clint Johnson A. K. A Rvshvd serves as our Publicity Director. Clint not only can bust some dope rhymes during his free time but as Publicity Director he is our main interface between the press and the community at large. He fosters and develops numerous contacts with local media to promote the press. He also oversees all planning with regard to promotional activities along with developing and implementing creative strategies for promotion.
Sam Dorminey
Head Designer
Sam Dorminey is our trendy 21 year-old Head Designer majoring in Writing & Comm. As head designer Sam works with material selected for publication to develop a design for the book’s cover and for the overall appearance of all front and back matter. Sam also develops a design that is innovative and creative. Overall, Sam works well with authors’ material and the overall vision for the press.
Raines Evans
Event Coordinator
As a Sophomore from Fitzgerald, GA, Raines is our down-to-earth Event Coordinator. As Event Coordinator, Raines works closely with our Publicity Director to organize promotional events, including the final book launch at the end of the semester. She also interfaces with the community at large to plan for events.
Terrell Jelks
Social Media Manager
As our off-the-chain Social Media Manager, Terrell Jelks regularly updates our social media outlets with innovative posts for the purposes of promoting the press. In doing so, he keeps the public abreast of submissions, activities, and promotions. If you are watching any of our hilarious Instagram stories, this is the man behind them.
Will Ansley
Copy Editor
Majoring in History and Government, Will Ansley serves as our wise Copy Editor. As Copy Editor, Will works closely with our Editor-in-Chief and the rest of the editorial team. His main focus is on sentence-level editing issues such as spelling, grammar, etc. and keeping his beard looking fresh as always.
MaryGrace McCoy
Correspondence Editor
MG the real O.G. is a 19 year-old Moultrie native and serves as our kind Correspondence Editor. She interfaces directly with authors and other member of the community, to inform them of acceptances/rejections.
